Subject verb agreement

Which of the below given sentence is correct? We have two children, one daughter and one son.


a) Both, my son and daughter are married.

b) Both, my son, as well as my daughter is married.

These are incorrectly punctuated. (a) and (c) should be like this:

a) Both my son and (my) daughter are married.

c) My son, as well as my daughter, is married.

I don't especially recommend (c), however. In my opinion, "my" should strictly speaking be repeated in (a), though in practice I guess it would often be dropped. You can also say "My son and (my) daughter are both marr
