Subject-Verb Agreement

Is it

"On second thought, either Brian or you are going to be the male lead in the play."

OR

"On second thought, either Brian or you is going to be the male lead in the play."

In this case when a subject is different, in terms of person, from another pronoun, doesn't the verb agree with the closer subject?
