Subject-verb agreement

Hello friends!

I have a question that has been bugging me for a while. Which one of the following statement is correct?

- You are the fifth person who (tells) me this story today.
- You are the fifth person who (tell) me this story today,

Does the verb "tell" refer to "You" or "the fifth person"?
What is the correct way to say this sentence?

Thank in advance!

Thanks man!

So, is the first sentence correct?

I wouldn't use either of the sentences you offered.
The only other choice could be 'you are the fifth person who has told me this story today' but then we run into the question of specific time used with the present perfect (and I have no problem with that in this case).
