subject to manual verification

Hi.

I am reading a paragraph about the ATM :

"A customer must be able to make a deposit to any account linked to the card, consisting of cash and/or checks in an envelope. The customer will enter the amount of the deposit into the ATM, subject to manual verification when the envelope is removed from the machine by an operator. Approval must be obtained from the bank before physically accepting the envelope. "

But I cant understand what "subject to manual verification when the envelope is removed from the machine by an operator" does mean ?

Regards.

Hi,

The balance in the account after the process of applying deposits and withdrawals has ended.

Note that there might be a difference between the available balance and the ending balance.

The available balance is the amount that the account holder could withdraw. It is sometimes less than the ending balance because the deposits take some time to be cleared.
