Subject or object?

Hi all,

This is a fake sentences which I'm using only as an example to help my understand a grammar problem. So please don't focus too much on the content.

I'm curious to know which one of the following is correct and why:

1. After giving it a lot of though, I reached the conclusion that with its combination of marketing research development and consulting services company X can offer a great environment in
which to develop my work on computational systems for marketing research.....

2.
After giving it a lot of thought, I reached the conclusion that with its combination of marketing research development and consulting services company X can offer a great environment in
which I can develop my work on computation systems for marketing research.....

This is awfully long sentences and I'm a bit mixed up! Please help.

Neither is incorrect grammar..

#2 makes it clear that you will develop your work.

#1 could in theory be taken to mean that someone else may develop your work.
(eg a scenario where yo

It's really a matter of style.

To my mind, #2 has more energy, more life, more 'personality'.
