Hello, I'd like to know where is the subject in the sentence: "Explain it to me". I'm thinking it's hidden? Since it should be: "[You] explain it to me"?
Thank you in advance
Top answer
Hi, Yes. In the imperative form, the subject is assumed to be 'you', ie the person(s) being spoken to. Clive
