Stupid sounded question.

Hi,

I should be confusing but..

Where can I get a decent cup of coffee?

What word is this decent describing? a cup? or coffee? It should be a cup but sounds like coffee somehow.

Thank you,

m

Coffee. Think of it this way. If the phrase was, " This is a horrible cup of coffee" then you would use this in describing how bad the coffee tasted and not how bad the cup is.

So what about "a decent cut of meat"? Does this mean, "a cut of decent meat"?
