Stupid question about Preposition

The event is organized for people which is looking for a relationship.

The event is organized for people looking for a relationship

Both are correct ?
The statement 2 , is that about a structure of preposition + (verb)ing

What if preposition + noun + verb?
Dose it still have to add ing after verb?

Thanks it might be a bit confusing.

I don't understand why it is
"organized for people looking for " instead of
"organized for people to look for"

is it about the situation is already exists?

Felixxxis it about the situation is already exists?
It will already exist when the event happens: those people looking for a relationship will come to it.
