If you have the OED2 Complete on CD, here's an interesting theoretical idea:
Write a little whiz-bang to extract the 250,000 words from the entry.tbl file. Save the results in a normal txt file.
Get Alcohol (or basic equivalent) to make a virtual CD drive (not required, but speeds up access for the next step)
Write another little whiz-bang to paste each word into the OED search window and to press the button via an SDK call. Make the whiz-bang sleep for a few millis. Then post a CTRL-A and CTRL-C to the OED results window using the same basic SDK call. Capture the results using a CTRL-V into your own thingie. NOTE: whilst this step can be done on any computer, a dual Pentium server is recommended. You will need about a weekend
allegedly.
Take the raw data and tart it to your taste, a LIT file or PDF file works fine.
Now you can download the OED2 Complete to your PocketPC!!

Is that wonderful or what?
obAUE: I,
personally, would never and never do such a thing. This is only a theoretical idea posted here for academic purposes...
Kind regards,
