I'll try to help here..some people obviously didn't get it - as a result either the grammatical errors and use of words..

let's just say (sardines) or a can of tuna, or anything else..That's not where the pun is...

The point of the joke: ( And it is the smartness rather than stupidity of the girl).

In her second last visit, she was threatened to be tied to the door, if ever comes again with the same request.

Therefore, in her last visit, she first asked if he has a rope.. when he answered with a "NO", she figured that he can't tie her to the door, and therefore she's safe to ask the same question again.
