Study or studying?

This question has been puzzling me ever since I read a book called 'The Art of Study'

Isn't it supposed to be 'The Art of Studying'?

Very curious ......... ^^

"The Art of Study" is a little unusual, but not wrong. "The Study of Art" is much less puzzling, I think!

Ooh, I see what you mean. It has me confused, too. Consider,

The Art of Gardening.
Gardening as an Art.

The Art of Computer Science.
Computer Science as an Art.

?The Art of Study.
?Study as an Art.

Would it be a rather mild play on words, I wonder. Intentionally ?-ical.
