Study abroad, support or don't support

Nowadays, there is increasing trend that young people study abroad, do you support for this trend? Why?

STUDY ABROAD

Nowadays, Globalization occurring everywhere in the world leading to a wave of the oversea study. While there are some arguments in disapproval of study abroad, I support the view that this should be encouraged by Vietnamese social.

The objector sector argues that there are numerous reasons for almost students who learning in higher development countries will not come back to their hometown. Firstly, funding for study abroad always more exorbitant than domestic study and the salary in the countries in a backward state – such as Vietnam is infinitely low. This discrepancy could make a hazardous status for a student who graduated in foreign countries want to work in Vietnam. Secondly, if these workers are working in some specific areas such as renewable energy, genetic engineering or another high technology major, they could not ensure that they can find out an expectant job.

Although facing a vast number of risks of brain drain, an international student is a future resource that excessively important with the vigorous development of Vietnam at present and the next decades. Despite government have to allocate resources to many areas of public spending, they must focus on high-quality education throughout the policy to encourage young citizens to approach the world-class education and create the work environment where the abroad student free of hazard. A combination of the advantageous policy and conducive work environment is the perfect condition for the startup. In recently, there were many co-founders of startup corporations who have been learned in the United State or Western, they decided to come back to Vietnam because they were found out the chance which they could not found in developed countries. And their knowledge and experience as fuel for the Vietnamese economic machine.

In conclusion, I support strongly the trend of young people study abroad and governments' responsibility is very important to prevent human capital flight.
