Studio or Atelier?

Hi. I like to paint in my spare time, so I have a small room in my apartment that I only use for that. How should I describe a room like that? Both studio and atelier sound to serious and big to describe that, but if I had to choose between the two of them...?

Is it possible to say studio room or atelier room or is that odd?

Thanks.
