students in humanity and science and engineering

What do you call students who study in Humanity or science engineering (science in general) department in college, university and even in high school?

I'm not sure the exact general term for them.

You mean "humanities". I have never actually heard of "science engineering", but it doesn't seem to mean "science in general". Or do you mean "science and/or engineering"?

  • You mean "humanities".

  • Ignoring that, I would just just call them, respectively, humanities students, science students and engineering students.
  • This doesn't apply in high school (at least, not where I live) because people do not specialise to that extent until they get to college.

Korea or other countries seem to categorize majors in university into groups; those majoring in humanities and science&enginering.
I didn't know how to call these two groups and you gave an answer to it.

Do you think dividing students like those two sounds okay or not practical?(e.g., Welcome humanities students/

The division that you describe is reasonable. Alternatively, the division is often said to be between "arts" and "sciences". There seems to be varying opinion about whether or not there is a technical distinction between "arts" and "humanities".

"Welcome humanities students" and "Welcome science and engineering students" sound OK. "Welcome to the Humanities Department" and "Welcome
