Students are more influenced by their teachers than their parents

It is a well known fact that parents are in most cases our first teachers and friends. In addition, they play an important role in their life. Overall, I disagree with the statement that students are more influenced by their teachers than their parents because the students spend a lot of times with their parents and they help the students in choosing the difficult decisions.



First of all, the students spend a lot of times with their parents. For example, the students live with their parents and spend almost of time in home. Everyday the parents will see their children and speak with them. Therefore, the students are affecting on their parents more than their teacher. However, the students spend only 5 or 6 hours in the school and that time not enough for the teacher to impact on the students. In addition, he/she may see the teacher once a day. For example, when I studied in school ten years ago, I was seeing the sport’s teacher only once a week.



Secondly, the parents have right to interfere in their children lives that allow influence in their life. Moreover, I think the parents help students to make important decisions for their lives. For example, the parents assist students in choosing the university and support them. On the other hand, the parents know what kind of friends their students have and how students spend their spare time. In contrast, the teachers don’t know where the students spend their time. For instance, when the student or child leaves the school the teacher does not know where the student or child will be goes, but their parents will call and ask their son or daughter “where are you now”.



To sum up, I think the parents have a very vital influence on students’ lives nowadays. Especially, they affect on the decision of teenage. So, the parents must learn how deal with students or children.
