student or student's?

i overheard some students in our school arguing on whether to call their committee student's executive committee or student executive committee (without the 's). so which is correct?

student's executive committee - not correct, since there is more than one student. students' executive committee - OK - the committee belongs to the students. student executive committee - OK, the members of the committee are students.
