And I can't understand this part of the following sentence. The part I can't understand is 'many times ... normal year.'
The number of sinkholes reported has soared to six so far this month – many times more than the one to two that is typical across the whole of a normal year, experts said.
I think that part is the same as "Six is many times ..." Am I right?
