Structure Of "Group Dynamic"

"Don't badmouth my boyfriend."

"Huh? Sorry, I wasn't trying to..."

"But you did it anyway!"

"It's absurd that you'd tell a stranger about things that happened when you dated."

"Sorry if I offended you. But this is our usual group dynamic."

Could it be that "group" is a noun, "dynamic" being an adjective as in group dynamic? If so, I have a plus question. Why is it 'group dynamic' not 'dynamic group'?
