Structure (countable and uncountable)

Hello,

I am confused about the use of "structure" as countable/uncountable noun.

Mcmilian dictionary says BONE STRUCTURE is uncountable.
And SURFACE STRUCTURE (something to do with sentences in linguistics) is also uncountable.

But POWER STRUCTURE is countable?

HUH???

Can anyone explain this to me?

Thank you.

This definition is also common.

If Jane has fine/good bone structure and Jill has coarse/poor bone structure, we may say that their bone structures (plural) are different. (Yes, here it refers to the shapes of the bones.)

You may also say that their bone structure (singular) is different.

Jane has bone structure A and Jill has bone structure B.

Many dictionaries do not include information about countability because it is so variable. Almost all nouns can be used in one situation or another as countable and in some other situation as uncountable. Any dictionary that gives information about countability is probably only listing the most common usage, not all usages. In my opinion you can safely ignore at least 90% of those "countable /
