Structure

There is now one microcomputer for every thirty-two pupils, four times as many as there were 2 years ago.

Every thirty-two pupils now has one microcomputer, four times as many as 2 years ago.

Can someone help me to understand the difference between above two sentence...

The second sentence implies that 32 pupils all share one computer. I don't think that is what you are trying to say.
