struck me with pointed needle

My brother struck my hand with a pointed needle.

If I struck a plastic bag, which has water, with a needle, it (the water) will squirt out.

My brother stabbed me with a knife.

My brother struck me with a knife.

My brother struck me with a knife. This doesn't sound like the blade went into you - perhaps he hit you with the hilt.
