STRUCK ME or MARKED ME/ SEE DIFFERENTLY

How would you say this?

1 As a kid I saw a movie and it struck/marked me. (you can't forget about it)

Could you help me make sense of these? Are they correct?

1 You won't see things the same way after this./ You will see things differently from now on.
2 I see him differently since he said that he loved me. I thought we were just friends. (what does "see differently" mean?)

Thank you

Yes, meaning that it has made an impression on you that has lasted.

example:

My mother once told me that once a person is caught lying, everything he says becomes questionable. That has stuck with me over the years and encouraged me to try to be a truthful person.

Sam Hello,

Could you tell me what you think of this sentence please?

1 You might not see the vase in the same way as me. You might see it differently. You might not like the vase but I do because my mom's the one who made it.

Thank you

You might not see the vase in the same way as I (do is understood, or you can actually add it.) You might see it differently. You might not like the vase, but I do, because my mom's the one who made it.

You had it almost right the first time! Sorry, I've had a very busy week and not much time to help out over here.
