Is this sentence correct:


"It's not possibe to completely prevent any disease, and even if you try to protect yourself from a certain disease, you could be struck by another."

We are stricken with a disease, not struck by it. "Struck" is wrong there only because it reveals that you couldn't remember the usual phrasing.
