Strongman

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate to ask this question here, but is there anyone who could explain what "strongman" means? In the context I'm working on, "strongman" is there with priests and deacons for exorcism (they talk about a nonfiction movie about the exorcism). According to Wikipedia ("parable of the strong man"), the bible describes that "strongman" represents Satan and Jesus needed to tie him up to exercise the ritual. But I wonder who he is (or plays a role of "strongman").

I am not a christian and do not know about the ritual well (I guess most people do not know, though). I appreciate your help!

Here's my take. Strong man = evil (stronger than most humans); Jesus is often portrayed as gentle, but not so gentle that he cannot overpower evil. I'm not a theologian, but this explanation makes for good "story".

Thanks Philip!
Well, I'm sorry for not giving enough information, but here I wonder who he is in real life. A woman is talking about her experience, where she lived in a haunted house and asked a church for exorcism. She says the church sent thee priests, three deacons, a strongman, and a secretary to take notes. It sounds to me that a strongman means a real human here...

In that case, I have no idea other than a literal meaning of a strong man (perhaps to help out when things got physical?).
