It is more important to spend public money promoting a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent illness than to spend it on the treatment of people who are already ill. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
My answer:
Healthare has always been a heated topic of the society. Some people argue that public spending should be prioritized on health protection by getting people well-equiped with healthcare information rather than curing. However, I am of the idea that public budget should be spent equally on illness prevention and treatment.
To begin with, public money spending on illness treatment is important for society. Given patients would be in an urgent situation to be cured, mostly for infectious deseases. If the treatment is not well-accomplised, the virus would broadly affect the whole society. One exellent example of this is Covid 19, an infectious desease, which brought a global warning of a virus that might bring death to human. This virus coming from Wuhan, China and infected globally due to the lateness in treatment from the host country.
At the same time, authorities should also spend public allowances on providing official information to citizens to get them well- informed of how to not only get away from sickness but also protect themselves and society. Given for infectious deaseas, once patients are not aware of their state, they might bring continuous illness to people who have access with them. As a result, the number of patients might uncontrollably exaggerate the amount of medicine that authorities could possibly supply.
In conclusion, I believe that it is important to prevent illness by providing healthcare information as well as to cure for ill patients. Hence, the public budget to spend on both path should be divided equally.
