The task strikes you as pretty dull.
Does this sentence equal to "the task strikes you as BEING dull"?
Can "as" in this sentence omitted?
if not ,why "AS" can be ommited in such a sentence " We consider him handsome"?

Consider him handsom (ok)
He strikes me as dull (ok)
[The difference must simply be because of the verb 'strike' as opposed to 'consider'.]
