Passion hurts (how come?), doesn't it?
People don't understand. They don't see
how you devote yourself to what's right. I bet you're afraid.
You give all that passion
to a job no one even cares about. Look at that world out there, Paul.

Now, you strike me as (you seem to me as?) a man of passion, Paul. Yes. You give me this quick impression of yourself.

Passion hurts (how come?), doesn't it? You are not familiar with the saying that love and similar emotions can hurt, ie bring problems as well as pleasure?
