Is my way of using “strike”, “impression”, and “look” correct?
Don’t talk with your hand on your chin. If you did that,

(2) it would strike them as arrogant.
(3) you would strike them as arrogant.
(4) you would give them the impression of being arrogant. (Is “the” better than “an”?)
