Stretch oneself thin

If you need to be more accessible and show people they can have unsckeduled, informal

conversations with you. then adopting this open-door policy might be right up your alley.

Keep in mind you don't have to stretch yourself too thin by being there for everyone

at anytime. you simply have to communicate your policy and then stick to it.

This phrase 'stretch yourself too thin' probably means make yourself very busy or something.

Do I understand this right?

Thanks in advance!
