Stressed syllable 1st or 2 nd
Dear professionals,
The word COLLEAGE
I am so mush used to stress the second syllable that after so many years I was surprised to know that it is incorrect
Please advise how critical it is and since I have been living in London for several years I suspect I mock this way of saying and there must be reason for this miss stressing

AnonymousPlease advise how critical it isIt appears you are still alive and well after several years of saying it wrong, so I doubt it's critical at all. Just change to saying it right, and all will be well.
