Stress, Future Tense, and Few Other Tidbits

Hi,

I'm having a few problems with a few exercises, and would like to see if I'm correct or just to get advice on them. Thanks for any help!

1. Stress

a. Where are the stresses on these words ? (Please bold & underline)

forest invaluable universal atomic opera

My attempts are in bold and underlined. Are they correct though? I actually had a lot of difficulty with this, is there an easy method for realising it?

b. What do you notice about the position of the stress on this word family ?

With this exercise, I actually couldn't think of any answer or couldn't find a pattern at all. If I were to guess, I'd say that the stress seems to be at the end of Simple, and as the words change and get longer, it stays in the same position.

3. GRAMMAR
a. How many ways can you think to express the future ?
Eg. This time next week I'll be lying next to the pool. The bus leaves at six o'clock.
Again, I wasn't too sure how to create sentences here, but here's what I would guess:
Simple Future --> You will help him later. Are you going to meet John tonight?
Future Continuous --> You will be waiting for the plane before it arrives. You are going to be waiting for her when the plane arrives tonight.
Future Perfect --> You will have perfected your TEFL by the time you return from Spain.
Future Perfect Continuous --> You will have been waiting a long time before the train arrives.
Future in the Past --> I knew you would help him.
b. Look at the following sentences. Correct them & give a brief description
of the correction
I've been to France in 1979.
My answer: It should be "I was in France in 1979"
Description of the Correction: He was speaking in the Present Tense form and should have been speaking in the Past.
I went to Edinburgh for seeing the castle.
My answer: It should be "I went to Edinburgh to see the castle"
Description of the Correction:The sentence was in the wrong tense and the infinitive should have been given instead.

b. There are two ways of disagreeing above. Can you think of five more of
these 'functional exponents' for disagreeing ?

I actually don't know any. I looked up google and couldn't find any examples, can someone please help me with this! Thanks.
That's all...

I hope you can help me with this so I can finish with it. I tried most exercises but the last, not even the internet could I find something to use effectively.
Appreciate all help. Cheers. Rupert.

I'll have to defer to others for 'functional exponents'.
