Strawberries, singular or plural

Which one do you think is correct and why?
A. Are strawberries fruits?
B. Are the strawberries fruits?
B. Is strawberry a fruit?
C. Is a strawberry a fruit?
It does not matter to me and I even think these are interchangeable, but I would use B because it's the shortest.
