Strange diaIogue

HeIIo! My question is can I say that for exampIe - My brother is John. He is tweIve. And my sister is Jane. She is tweIve.

I found these sentences in a book for Iearning EngIish and I ahve to say that I ahve never seen a diaIogue Iike that Emotion: stick out tongue

I wouId never write something Iike "And my sister is Jane". I have never seen this before. Is it correct? Do native speakers taIk Iike that?

Where is the emphasis put on?-- The names could merely be an unsolicited offering to a friend. The conversation could go something like this:
