Vocabulary

Strain / strive

Hi,
both of these verbs denote trying hard in order to achieve a goal, according to my vocabulary.

Can I use them in the following sentences, please?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance! Strain most often involves some kind of very difficult resistance, and not moving ahead very much. It also can involve a temporary injury which requires rest and recouperation.
