Straight quarters on the bottom...

You're singing this like it's a funeral dirge. It's boring.
You got to pick up the tempo, straight quarters on the bottom. Does this
have anything to do with a guitar's strings? Because there is a guitar involved.

I don't think so; it seems to me to have to do with quarter notes in the score, probably lower on the stave. I may be wrong, though.
