story cycles ?

Have you ever heard " story cycles " before ?

Medieval Arabic story cycles, such as the Arabian Nights, are in some ways similar to parts of the Homeric epics.

Questions,

Why dont we use possession after Arabic , for example Arabic's story cycles ?

What is " story cycles "?

Thanks

story cycles:
stories that are told one after the other, in a sequence

Arabic is adjective here, no need for possesive
(stories of the kind Arabs have
not
the stories of the Arabs)
