"Stoned soul picnic"

It's so interesting when people just make up stuff about things they know nothing about. Why? What's the point of making yourself look silly? According to "Anonymous", The word 'surry' is an African language. It's no such thing. And, which country in "Africa"? You do know that's a continent, not a country. The song, lyrics and music, is by Laura Nyro, a prolific singer/sogwriter in the '60's whose songs were sung by many artists in the late '60s and '70's. And, no, the Fifth Dimensions songs were not about "oppression". They were the least political group during that era, singing mostly pop songs, like Wedding Bell Blues, etc. And, when asked about that word, "surry" Laura Nero said she just liked the sound of it. Period. Why put yourself out there as a know-it-all when you know you're just making this stuff up? I don't get it. What's the point?
