Stomached

Can you help me with this word? What does it mean to be stomached?
I have found it in the text, but my dictionaries don't have this word.

The sentence goes: "I really wanted it [the job] but they gave it to someone else and I was absolutely stomached."

Thank you

The normal informal word for being bitterly disappointed is 'gutted'. The writer of that sentence is perhaps being jocularly twee.

I have one more question: Can you feel gutted after you turn down a job offer?

Only if you really wanted the job and had to turn it down for some reason outside your control.

Thanks again. It's clear now.
