Stimulation and tickling taste bud

I wonder why ony ' stimulation' is possible and why the other ones are incorrect. Also, what does it mean by ' tickling their taste bud' and' uphill struggle'

It is difficult to get astronauts to eat as much as they need. It's partly that they are so busy but also because there is no stimulation to eat. So tickling their taste buds is an uphill struggle.

a. stimulation b. hunger c. provacation d. longing

Top answer

It really is the connotations of the words. Stimulation is the thought of being interested in food so the astronauts are not enticed by something coming out of a bag witch they suck on as food as there is no visual and textural enticement. Hunger is wrong because the astronauts might still get hungry but they don't have a hunger to eat (they don't want to spend lots of their time eating).
