Sticking to Colors

Hi, please correct the following sentences. Thank you. In this connection, I'm really thankful to the Forum for having correctted many of my posts. I also admire and appreciate your correction as this is done without damaging my writing style.

"It’s true that her ‘give-me-a-pinch’ and ‘get-bouts- of-blows’ stance either scale up or scale down her image in the eyes of public many a time. But, she never gives a damn to her image and goes on sticking to her colors for a cause true to her heart. Nailing colors to the mast has been her forte and she always revels in wadding through dark seas unmindful of its depth and the roaring waves. She may look adamant and has authoritarian streaks in her."
