HI,
Josiah was on the huge table of a giant, so we have the following sentence:
Josiah stuck out one foot and kept the chicken from skidding past him off the edge of the table. Reaching down with both hands, he grabbed the fowl and discovered that it was too hot to pick up.
Can I say "reached out" one foot?
