Vocabulary

stereotypic/ stereotypical

Hi!

These are both adj. correct? what is their difference? I don't seem to get a hand of the word, for one it said the meaning is 'being extremely prejudical', on the other hand it said 'overly used or outdated'. When a person say that I'm stereotyped, m'I oldfashioned or being unoriginal? Or being prejudical? How do I tell? Thanks. -Terr

OK my question could be a bit scattered, so basically I found these three in dictionary, they're all adj. and their meaning were all about the same: 1) stereotypic 2) stereotypical 3) stereotyped Are they like interchangable or what.. Why are there three diifferent words while they all looked alike.

I think I only use stereotypical.

Indeed, forget about the first.

Hi, CalifJim, Marius Hancu

I was expecting someone would tell me some of these could have side meaning in whichever way. I guess I was wrong, in conclusion they have identical meanings and they are coexisting for mysteriously unknown reason. I have the advice noted, scratched the first and third. Thanks a lot. -Terr
