stereotype/take things/sb come first

The common misconception everyone seems to have, is that when they get a girl pregnant, their life is fucked. That's completely wrong. Those that decide to let it devastate their lives, and chose to not pursue being successful in life, are the ones that end up being fucked because of having a kid. You got a female pregnant, big deal. The only thing you are fucked with, is a kid. Don't let the common stereotype drag you down into depression, or thinking your life is over. You need to keep your head up, need to take things day by day, but you are still very young. You need to still think about doing for you, not her or the kid. Don't get me wrong, you still need to help take care and raise the child, but you still come first.

what's the difference between stereotype and cliche?

take things = deal with things or get over the unfortunate event?

you still come first = you should still pursue your what you want?

Thanks.
