steps in a house

I want to say that a house has only a few steps because it's a single-storey building. I'm using the following sentence

Marcus House is a single-storey building, so it has only a limited number of steps (to the basement mainly).

What do you think?

Thanks.

Assuming that the number of steps is of primary importance to the buyer, then your sentence is okay as is. You can also say "... building.

(However, you say "mainly" - so where else are there steps in the house?)

Hi guys,

Where I live, we don't talk much about 'steps' inside the house. We talk about 'stairs' in your context, eg there are only a few stairs to the basement.
