Stay in touch

when people say stay in touch in their email, do they really want you keep writing to them or it is just a way to close the email - like bye

Hello! Personally, when I say "stay in touch", I expect the person to send me an email from time to time. Otherwise, it's so easy to say "bye", or "talk to you soon"...

Personally, when I say "stay in touch", I expect the person to send me an email from time to time. Otherwise, it's so easy to say "bye", or "talk to you soon"... But some persons may be more complicated than that...
