Statment

Since my daughter started her Primary school in 2003, I was engaged within school scenery doing voluntary interpreting to polish community within Nightingale Primary School. Attending parent’s evenings, taking part in language assessments, liaising between parents and teachers, pupils and teachers etc., it brought me closer to school environment.

In 2005 I voluntary helped for ‘’Sure Start For Families with Children’’ in Haringey- I have interpret, liase between service provider and Polish speaking families, attending appointments in local authorities, school meetings and admissions.

Having all that experience, when my daughter started secondary school, I have decided that I wanted to become a qualified teaching assistant, as ‘’Every Child Matters’’ I want to give my support to pupils with their learning the best way I can, especially to those whom english isn’t their first langauge.

In September 2009 I have started a part-time course ‘’Certificate in Teaching Assistant level 2’’ at Southgate College, as well as my work experience in my daughter’s previous Primary School (Nightingale). Despite finding some of these experiences challenging, I have also found them extremely rewarding – particularly when I have been able to help a child overcome a learning barrier. I’m holding already qualification which is required; literacy level 2, as well as Community Interpreting Certificate level 3, as well as all relevant experience of supporting pupils from all kind ethnicity in my current placement, therefore I am sure that the job post would be suitable for me. I am patient, enthusiastic, energetic, work calmly under pressure, self motivated, I personaly think I would be a perfect candidate for the posision. I believe that I will contribute positively to your School.
