Stative verbs

I am confused about Stative verbs. We were asked to convert sentences to other tenses. Example is, "I like to sleep."--->>>"I was like to sleep." is correct?

It doesn't matter whether a verb is stative or not. You use the same procedures to put it into different tenses. There is no separate rule for putting a stative verb in the past perfect tense, for example -- just one rule for putting all verbs into the past perfe
