hello, i've got a problem with few definitions from statistics I can't quote them and I have no idea how to rephrase them and unfortunelty I must use the book I have the quotes form.
descriptive research: “refers to investigation which utilities already existing data or non-experimental research with a preconceived hypothesis"
quantitative research “any investigative procedures used to describe in numerical terms a setting and the things going on in it”
t-test "is the most frequently used measure in second language research when comparing mean scores for two groups"
Mean “the sum of all the values in a distribution divided by the number of values"
Median is “the point in the distribution below which fifty per cent of the values lie and above which fifty per cent lies”
Standard deviation is an “average of the differences of all scores from the mean”
