Hi. I'd like to know if the usage of "stating" is natural here?

"This is the police. We've received an emergency call stating that something might be going on here. Could you please open the door, sir?"

Yes, it is.

(Some people would leave it out. "... a call that something ..."
And some people would use "saying". "... a call saying that something ...")

But there's nothing wrong with "stating".
