Statement or Statements?

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. Just got a quick question. I wrote this to a customer: "You will receive a monthly statement from us." But my boss said it was better to say: "You will receive monthly statements from us (cos there will be more than 1 statement from us, lets say in a year)". I personally think both are fine, but what do you think? Tks very much! J

Hello, Jason—and welcome to English Forums. Actually, I think both of them are OK, but they both have weak points. I suggest some clarification: You will receive a statement from us each month.

Mister MicawberYou will receive a statement from us each month.
You might also mention annual or quarterly statements, if these are sent out. eg In December, you will receive a comprehensive annual statement containing all the transactions for the year.
